Good article, however, I believe there are many doctors who do NOT educate patients. Is it their job would probably be your next question? Hmmm I prefer to say no. However, it is their specialty, health right? If someone comes to me about a computer problem, they hope I am a professional and that I will ask the right questions and provide information from experience. And I do. Aside from performing a service, I provide information this is something that many people in jobs do, they are considered the experts in their fields. Yes I believe people need to take on more responsibility, I believe this in a big way. But i also feel it is the doctors responsibility to help educate if a patient comes to them. Many times doctors just offer medication. And many times that medication is wrong!
